About the Scholarship

SMC will award a limited number of $300 scholarships for the Summer 2024 semester to students who meet the following criteria:

Must be within 18 credit hours of completing degree program requirements.
Must be an SMC degree-seeking student.
Must have at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
Must be meeting Satisfactory Academic Progress requirements.

To apply for this scholarship:

Register for summer classes.
Review your Degree Works Plan or Educational Development Plan (provided by your Academic Advisor) to confirm that you will be within 18 credit hours of earning your SMC degree after spring semester.

Number of Credits Needed for Graduation (After Spring Semester)

If after clicking Submit you receive an error message that says, "1. Update - Lookup returned no record and aborted connector execution," it is likely because your last name and student ID did not match what we have on file for you. Please check these fields and try again. If you continue to have problems, please contact financial aid at finaid@swmich.edu or 269-783-2143.
